Barbra Streisand - Just In Time Lyrics

Just in time
I found you just in time
Before you came my time was running low,
I was lost, the losing dice were tossed
My bridges all were crossed,
Nowhere to go;
Now you're here
And now I know just where I'm going
No more doubt or fear
I've found my way
For love came just in time
I found you just in time
And changed my lonely life that lucky day.

Barbra Streisand Just In Time Comments

    Perfection..

Leonard Bernstein himself did the arrangement. This is a brilliant interpretation, and though l can't imagine anyone faulting it, "de gustibus non est disputandum."

I disagree strongly with some of the negative comments here...
To my ear, her voice and this arrangement with the harpsichord are PERFECTION- sublime.

It’s all wrong. The arrangement is bad. It had all the wrong harmonies. She sings measures 13-16 wrong. I don’t know why she agreed to do it this way. It certainly is not innovative. It’s definitely wrong. I am really confused because I think she is a marvelous singer.

    Interesting.

Sounds like she did it in a minor key.. I love it! And the arrangement is Minimalist perfect. I am a composer, arranger and songwriter.. Sorry, I like it..

I think she chose to be an artist and make this her own, like she did with "Happy Days." I love that this sounds like no other version.

I am having a hard time finding your recordings...where can I purchase Lou Califano's Greatest Hits? Thanks.

@Margaret Stix exactly what i think!!!...she's unique and does nothing like the others...what a relief...

  5. T.... ....

    A definitive version.

A terrible version. The harmonies are all wrong. She sings the second 8 bars wrong. I’m really surprised because I think she’s a marvelous singer. I’d like to know the story behind this and why she agreed to perform this arrangement.
