One of the first songs I learned from Joan on my guitar. She and these great old folk songs I cut my musical teeth on. This brings back memories of my love affair with this beautiful voice. I lived with her music. And set me in motion for all that came after her....Joni Mitchell, PP&Mary, Linda Ronstadt, John Denver, CSNY, and of course, Dylan. The music today...is so empty in comparison.

HAHA!!! Um, no...... as a lifelong musician, I can tell the difference between someone "making it their own" or "not doing karaoke" and just getting it wrong. Joan got it wrong. Bless her heart, I'm pretty sure she knows it too.
Adam, listen to Joan's cover of Don't Think Twice, It's Alright. That is a good example of a case where she "makes a song her own", putting a few different chord flourishes in place, and dancing around the melody in her own style.
