Bad Religion - Someone To Believe Lyrics

Dark, frozen, hibernation held at bay
As your mind, left behind, lost another day
But finally there's someone to believe

Anti-social boredom is all the rage but the time comes when you gotta turn the page
And then finally there's someone to believe
And now you walk with confidence and ease
And there's no call to sell your soul or confess or drop down to your knees

Who, what, or where made you change your mind?
Doesn't matter anymore 'cuz you've seen a sign
And now finally there's someone to believe

Searching for the answer's a lonely quest but the act is liable to bring out your best
And then finally there's someone to believe
And now you have a purpose to proceed
And you find out the baggage that you discarded, you didn't even need

No one can deny a return to form irrespective of the morass, shame, and scorn
But then finally there's someone to believe
Ready to emerge and direct your fate as the self-determination radiates because finally there's someone to believe
And now you walk with confidence and ease
And it feels like the spring equinox after a long winter's sleep

Finally, there's someone to believe

I do like Bad Religion so i wont argue with you on that.
Anti Flag`s members have similar hairstyles to Green Day´s so do you mean that Anti Flag is not a punk band either.

First: forgive me for my bad english.
Second: what you definds punk seems to be similat to my view. Im my opinion Green Day does still make some things that many other punk rock bands would do. For exemple: Green Day`s Know your enemy sure has a very mainstream sound, but the lyric is about questioning who is the real enemy and do we know who is making us belive this and their motive to blind us and focus us on the `real enemy` but one thing is for sure and that is silence is the enemy.

@vekypula12345 The line "...and now you walk with confidence and ease." you omitted from the first and third verses in the description.
Also "...and now you have a purpose to proceed." from the second.

Those who are strong on criticism are really "punkyies" who believes Bad Religion is like "KISS" and it's gonaa play just the same kind of music over 30 years. U guys really do not get the music, not just hear but listen to the music, match it to the context of our times, to what's happening and specially to their beliefs as scientists.
Use your brains, it's not forbidden. Or U guys are just really "punkyies" and do not deserve to worship BR for you're not real fans.
    Go listen Suffer then !

    @MicheasTheMighty2
Well said!! I look at the world much better now that I use science instead of looking at the world threw religion!!

I've listened to the album now at least 25 times, and I have to say, there's only 2 songs I impulsively have to skip (Pride and the pallor and Where the fun is). I burned "Finite" on there as well, which is an absolute gem of a song. All in all: again a great effort for a great band

@thatdude8088 This one and resist stance have really nice melodies, but most of the songs lack both energy and melody. BR my favourite band by FAR but I think it's a very weak album lyrically. The rhymes in turn your back on me or ad hominem are teenage. It's hard to believe the same person wrote that that wrote Tiny Voices, Cease and Don't Sell Me Short. Nearly every song has a better parallel on a previous album. Finally they've ran out of creativity, happens to all aging bands.
