If anyone is interested you can try doing this yourself in DCS World. It's free to download on steam and comes with two aircraft the Su-25T and the TF-51D, which is the aircraft they used to train the Mustang pilots. The whole plane is simulated down to every last button, and it comes with a tutorial that shows you what to do. It doesn't have any weapons available because it's a trainer, but you can buy the P-51D to get the full ordeal.

Back in WW2, those were used as a counter for planes shot down. More swastikas on the side = More planes shot down.

It just so happens that I am building a 1/32 scale mustang model kit at the moment, and whilst google has some good pictures of the cockpit interior they aren’t that much use to me as I am building it as close to original as possible. I can see that some of your equipment is additional, probably due to FAA and insurance requirements, but on the whole it has been a big help seeing the inside of such a wonderful and well maintained example of such an iconic WWII fighter aircraft. Thanks for sharing this excellent and informative video with all of us. 👍👍👍👍👍😃

Have you consulted with Kapt. Doug Mathews about his flight on Yo'Tube? He set an altitude record where "even airliners never fly." Then his controls 'iced up', He was concerned about losing the '5,, and thought he would have to bail out. That type of grandstanding with a Merlin that doesn't belong to him is BS. "What a maroon!" -- Bugs Bunny.

love the feature of pre-oiling the engine. could you imagine picking up a lovely woman for a first date in a super slick and classy yet performance oriented vehicle (i leave this blank because it would require a lengthy narrative of why, wells, buts, ifs....oh hell lets make it a BMW M5). She is not someone to be hook line sinker by a car, in fact it's a bit of a risk as far as first impressions go and your Tahoe or perhaps Explorer would provide a neutrality that flies under a woman's subconscious, autonomic processing that terribly complex and not well understood by most men. Ironically, gay men seem to better understand a woman's psyche but I digress. So all is going well as you are well into the evening and you both decide to continue with the date doing something fun but it's a 10 minute drive from where you currently are. Laddidaddida ...turn the key and that God awful noise just resonates through the both of you...she yelps from the heart stopping shock of such a boarish clamoring. You say (this could go a thousand different ways if anyone wants to comment)
