Did anyone else think the vocals for the second verse sounded kinda weird? It sounded like the transitions weren't as clean or something like that. Just seeing if I'm the only one who noticed. No negativity intended.

This verse alone finally hits me. Oscar, the knight in question was the one wanted to travel to Lordran, *not you* . You chose to rot in the asylum. *You merely inherited his mission* . You carry his will to rekindle the fire in his stead.

I was happy to say that despite not realizing it before, I was wearing the Elite Knight Set and Astora's Straight Sword all the way down to meeting and defeating Gwyn the first time. It feels like I do Oscar something honorable in finishing his mission with his equipment.

Man! Personally, I think this is the best fan-made video game song out there! It invokes a strong sense of purpose, mystery, intrigue, and genuine awesomeness in the Dark Souls world. Is it weird that while this was done for Dark Souls 1, it actually fits much better with Dark Souls III if you go for the Firekeeper ending?

I think it fits DS1 the best. That game was more hopeful. The fire linking actually does something if you choose to do it.

this song makes me feel like a warrior fighting shadow creatures of some sort, its got a wicked vibe to it, unbeleiveable how unique your songs are, and the best thing is, your open to express yourself for mlp or anything, your one heck of a person aviator,

Really cool song. ...Not my style. But cool.

Great song, the only problem i have is the visuals accompanying the song. They feel almost lazy, like it could've taken 5 minutes to take a cinematic shot of the landscape in DS. And the gameplay sections are pretty lackluster. Would it have been so hard to include intense gameplay segments (fighting major bosses, crushing major souls, wielding an impressive weapon) that fit with the song? I don't think it would, because many smaller youtubers have already done it. Again, great song, but the video accompanying it is disappointing and doesn't do it justice.

This is just perfectly amasing! As an admirer of DS story can tell that this song strike directly to the heart.
One thing i must admit: in the beginning (like 0:48) the voice is much quieter than music and it's difficult to catch words. IMHO it would be great to push the balance of volumes (or how this is called by professional musicians?) towards the voice from music. Make it slightly louder may be.

Wow.. I may like this one more than the one Vaati shown. Maybe even more than Fire Fades. The only part I don't really like is Gavin's(who I normally praise, just not this part->) section with the "Let the fire begin," despite that I think this is damn good.

After beating all three Dark Souls games, this song feels more relatable than ever, especially when you realize that snuffing the flames are ultimately the best possible endings you can go for.

I really hope you and Gav collab again. This has hands down my favorite song from both of you guys and it's stuck in my head even a year later nearly every day.

People think dark souls is grim and edgy but really, its the greatest tale of hope to ever be told in a game.
