I love this video, it's so ethereal. There is no one like The Avetts..

Tiffany...I agree. There is no one like them. They are first in my heart and have replaced other musicians since I found them. Sincerity, honesty, humility, and love can all be felt in their most beautiful music and poetry. Even though now with a movie made of their music and life they stay humble and true to their roots. I couldn't love them more. They are one of a kind.

Oh wow! Being a huge Avett Brothers fan and guitar player of their tunes for several years, I'm pretty excited to hear how they changed the notes on the reoccurring slide riff here. I love that they still do these raw straight recordings after being big signed musicians. Whether it's more stripped down of newer songs that receive the fuller produced treatment with drums and other added instruments or rehashing older tunes like this here, they still exude the true heart of their talent.

Right ? Every time I even think about saying "This is my favorite Avett song ...," another pops into my head. It is like choosing a favorite child. Speaking of which, I love the video for Murder in the City when Scott sings "I wonder which brother is better/Which one our parents loved the most/I sure did get in lots of trouble/They seemed to let the other go/A tear fell from my father's eye/I wondered what my dad would say/He said, "I love you and I'm proud of you both,/In so many different ways" <-- the smiles both brothers are wearing as they sing this verse are priceless. :) You can see how genuine the love and respect they have for one another and their family is when they sing MITC and also, Salvation Song. <3

This video is amazing in its own right.  But I love it even more because you really get to hear the growth in their abilities since they recorded this originally.  Now, I love the original, but Seth's solo here is way better and their harmonies are much tighter in this video.

These brothers compliment each other so well. In every way. Even in Seth's little solo. Not overbearing, but not under spoken. They harmonize at the perfect points. I'd love to make music with someone I was this close to.

It's medicine for the soul to express, but not often that I can say moreso to sit back and listen, like with these guys. My life would be emptier without them now!
