how so? genuine question; I don't know much about Australian Crawl, never really loved them, but I don't mind the two Guy McDonough songs I know of theirs - I didn't actually even realise they had more than one frontman until fairly recently

We lost Guy way too early. Oz Crawl would have been so much more had he not died so young.

I often think that losing Guy was the start of the rot; Brad went a few years later, then Simon Binks and James had an irreconcilable falling out. Crawl split in early 1986, Reyne went gangbusters solo in 1987....

Arrived in Oz the 80s as a student then. What a great introduction to Australian music, couldn't be more iconic and laid back as the Crawl. Loving them till today.

Ahhhh! James Reyne. A singer with a great voice but just the worst diction. Although it made it fun to try to work out what he was actually singing. Exhibit A ......."Beautiful People".
Actually it is tossup between him and Rickie Lee Jones.
The thing is.........I love them both with a passion.

But it made their music unique, nothing ever sounded as sweet as their music.
