Yeah, I think the new albums are a little too polished. Still leaps and bounds above similar acts, but it was the raw sound that made it work better. Hope the Keys strip it down for the next release. Or at least for a second Auerbach solo album, which I hope like crazy sees the light of day. That album was insanely good, instant classic.

I've already seen it. (: The Black Keys have been my favorite group for about two years now. And with their early stuff, I agree that it's not the best, but I really dig the garage rock sound they had. El Camino is still an incredible album, but it lacks that raw sound that I really love.

Actually, with the Black Keys, their first album was probably my least favorite, but their live performance of it (search for "The Black Keys: Live in Austin") is 100x better. Seriously worth watching. They play those low key oldschool blues songs with the "garage" sound they started using after that. Dan *almost* manages to rock a Telecaster harder than Bruce Springsteen in his younger years.

Im from Michigan and I agree 100% with you. I have seen both of them live and Dan Auerbach is way better. Plus I think it is stupid how someone would like an artist just becuase they are from the same state.

You are right. The music indusrty has diluted the quality we see on a regular basis in my mind. Most of the time the industry is pushing the bad music. Taste is one thing but marketing subpar music is what I dislike.
