Great song lyrics, awesome singing. The music ruined it. It sounds like some horrible pop song track that had a good country singer over the top of it.

Damn how I love my Jean jacket.

This song reminds me of my grandparents and my mother. My mothers was my Jeanjacket. Best thing I grandparents ever made. She even had her gun, at least in her story to me. My birth father couldn't even get her from my grandparents, not for long (she always run back home to them). So, my Jean jacket has holes where the snap was at the bottom, was also used for a picnic blanket and comes with its own gun story. Damn how i miss them. That was my world until my children then my husband. Rest in peace my Jean jacket.

It wasn't a jacket; my dad gave me a great pair of dress shoes. I held onto those for 20 years after he died.

I was driving in my truck and heard this song and broken into tears. I have one of my grandfathers jackets that he gave me that my wife wanted me to toss years ago. The lyrics describe my entire story why I can't part with it. Great song, great lyrics, great job Ashley McBryde...keep it up!

What another great story in a song. In the seventies you could not get me away from my Jean jacket. Some who I shared with are no longer with us. Makes if even more valuable in memories.

This song hits me really hard, I love it though. Our only child, our son passed away in July 2015. He had a leather jacket that we got him when he was 13, he was 35 when he passed and he still wore it, short sleeves and all. So it's missing...said he left it in a car...anyway, that jacket means so much to me, he wanted it for so very long, I bought it when we couldn't afford it, He even wore that jacket on rainy nights in summer, anyway, I'd just like ya'll to pray someone brings it to us. I pray for it so much the Lord probably wants me to hush, It was one of the motorcycle kind with the zips and stuff. Would love for his daughter, who is now...13 to have it. Thank you in advance. And is Ashley awesome or what???

Sorry it took me so long to see, I lost my daughter two years ago when she attempted suicide. And the Christmas before that I bought her a mossy oak jacket.and right now that jacket is on the shoulders of her best friend who is going through treatment. My daughter may be gone but her arms are still wrapped around the people who she loved.6 days after her attempted suicide I had to make the hardest as a father ever had to make. I chose to take her off the life support. Because the little girl was no longer there. But she did leave me a beautiful baby girl. Who is the splitting image of her mommy.
