Arnold, Eddy - That's How Much I Love You Lyrics

Now If I had a nickel I know what I would do
I'd spend it all for candy and give it all to you
I'd spend it all for candy and give it all to you
'Cause that's how much I love you baby
That's how much I love you

Now if you were a kitten with pretty glossy fur
I'd take you up and stroke you and listen to you purr
I'd take you up and stroke you and listen to you purr
'Cause that's how much I love you baby
That's how much I love you

Now if you were a tiger I'd hang around your den
I'd pester you my honey until you let me in
I'd pester you my honey until you let me in
'Cause that's how much I love you baby
That's how much I love you

Now if you were a horsefly and I an old grey mare
I'd stand and let you bite me and never move a hair
I'd stand and let you bite me and never move a hair
'Cause that's how much I love you baby
That's how much I love you

Now if you want to marry now let me tell you what
I'll go and find the parson and let him tie the knot
We'll go and find the parson and let him tie the knot
'Cause that's how much I love you woman
That's how much I love you...

An old story by now but my Daddy would sing this to us when we were little. I was singing it in the kitchen while baking and decided to find it here. I love YouTube for providing all these wonderful memories. Wish I would have sang it to my kids!

My Pop used to sing this to my mom when she was little. When I was little, they both sang it to me. Mom and I never knew that it was an actual song, so all we know is Pop's version. Pop passed in September of last year, and the most wonderful memories have pushed their way back into my mind since. I remembered this song tonight, so on a whim, I decided to look it up to see if anyone else knew it. Ta-da, there's this video! What a cute little song that I've not heard in a long time. Wow!

<3 This was my Grandpa's favorite song to sing. Whenever we were at big family gatherings at my Gramma and Grampa's house, he'd always be sitting on his big leather rocking chair with the oldies music playing on the tv, and we'd hear him singing the songs. This was his all time favorite. Unfortunately my grampa passed away three weeks ago. We all loved him and miss him so much. Now I keep singing this song without thought, and it always reminds me of him. <3 I love you grampa. Don't take any wooden nickels

this is the song I was talking about Eddie Arnold sang...my Uncle J. Graydon Hall wrote this too...(If I remember correctly...he wrote the words and music too),,,,,my Nana never talked about him ...(Jealous?)...I didn't know he was so talented until later in life...when I was taking piano lessons..I played some of the Hymns he wrote...too young to 'appreciate' it then...
