Architects - Learn To Live Lyrics

Picked yourself up,
Stop loving, start living,
Don't get held back,
That's where they want you to be.

I never paid much attention to them.

Every time they pushed us aside,
We got back up again,
Yeah we made it through the rain,
Just to live another day without them.

Pick yourself back up and learn to live,
Stop caring, stop thinking.
Picked yourself back up and learn to live,
The grass is greener on the other side, so don't give up on life.

Never back down, do this for yourself,
You don't need anyone to get you where you deserve.

I never paid much attention to them.

Every time they push us aside,
We jump back up again,
Yeah, we made it through the rain,
Just to live another day without them.

Every time they push us aside,
We jump back up again,
Yeah, we made it through the rain,
Just to live another day without them.

We are the ones you left out in the rain,
Come back tomorrow and we'll be here again.
We are the ones you left out in the rain,
Come back tomorrow and we'll be here again.

We are the ones you left out in the rain,
Come back tomorrow and we'll be here again.
We are the ones you left out in the rain,
Come back tomorrow and we'll be here again.

Here again...

We made it through the rain just to live another day,
We made it through the rain just to live another day,
We made it through the rain just to live another day,
We made it through the rain, the rain.

  3. Sir G-Had

    "Pick yourself back up
    and learn to live."

I have needed this for the past week or three.

  4. L Cali

I forgot how much more punk rock this band used to be back in the day.

  5. Max R

La cancion que mas me ha motivado en toda mi vida

  6. Ryoga YT

    Emo never die

  7. Matt Curtis

These kinda music videos are always so cringe to watch

  8. Your joke are totally from the Internet

Arch will never be the same...

  9. ᐯ 卂 丨 几

Damn, if this album was made by some other scene metalcore bands, this would pretty much get some attention, this song also sounds like something Attack Attack! or Of Mice & Men would've made. XD

  10. Nick

everytime I listen to this song, I feel sam is punishing my weakness

  11. sirgallahad4

"We made it through the rain just to live another day without them."

Can we just acknowledge the truth of that lyric?

  12. Adam kahn

i dont understand why there is so much hate towards this album, i fuckin LOVE it

  13. John Roger

So this was architects before the deadly heavy riffs...

    Alexi Luffy

Early Grave is heavy as fuck and before this tho..

    thenumbersixlookslikeyou

This is their softest album and the only one

    John Roger

I'm saying the further albuns counting to the next ones hits you like a roadtrain downhill :v

    Patrick Damacet

This is their only soft album. Before it they used to to mathcore. After it metalcore and progressive metalcore

  14. Ðevastator WR

Народ, хто вкурсе и русский. Можете объяснить, что с вокалистом? Т.к все пишут о смерти Тома. Если кто то может объясните пж

    Julian Grünfelder

    @InfiniteR4iN you too mate :)

  16. Nemo Byrd

No mrskyhippo I very much like this band there bad ass

  17. NEIL SAEL

This album and Holy Hell showcased Sam Carter's vocals at his different peaks. His raw energy here is unmatched, but his passion and anguish (especially with his high pitched screams) made Holy Hell another level apart.

Heck, Dan Searle is very hyper here (listen to Delete Rewind, Btn, and The Blues).

  18. Joyce Wambui

    Finally found it again

  19. Paul Rangitutia

8 years later i realize the drummer has a kiwi ( newzealand ) t shirt on .....love it

This song was after sam carter?

    Thomas Leerling

    This is Sam

  26. No Hardcore Dancing In The Trap

Honestly this is my favorite Architects album like they have a perfect discography but this album is just so different

  27. Cornél Botha

Is it strange that this album actually got me into Architects? Love all their other stuff now. But this showed me their musical diversity. Fuckin love 'em.

  28. Noel Schuster

even architects worst album is a fucking masterpiece

  29. SneakyMosquito

this album is amazing, I like it when he sings. I like it when he screams. I like it when they feel things like i do. All their albums are amazing. Suck it haters.

  30. Fachrizal Masugi

Is this the same vocalist who play doomsday ?

  31. Charlie :P

  34. JG Maizeleff

    Tom Searle 💔

  35. Alonso González

Vaya puta mierda de canción y de banda , prefiero ricky martin o el grupo marrano , prefiero escuchar country antes que esta mierda apestosa

  36. Tavo Moneqz

Every Architect's song is amazing, actually I prefer Daybreaker from back than their last two albums.

  37. gohmaking

They sure have gotten better through the years. Generic rock to pure epicness

    Lightning6475

gohmaking Expect they were pretty heavy before this album

  38. Sir G-Had

Where was this song /band when I was in High School back from 1993-1997?

    Dermacrosis

Wait!! Are you criticising the 90s? You're brave.

  41. dewalims

Let's ruin the fans out by saying, "Ow, A Static Lullaby?!" #lol

  42. ZeroFox75

I get why people crap on this album, but I actually like this song. It certainly feels more like something OM&M, The Amity Affliction or BMTH would have done but it's still a good song

  43. Adnane Touzani

    PARKWAY DRIVE BROUGHT ME HERE

  44. Darrkness

i just heard these guys do a cover of one of my favorite bands (THRICE) so i was like let me check out another song and Holy Shit! this is awesome. can someone recommend some other great songs like this by them?

    Dermacrosis

"A Match Made In Heaven" is the song that introduced me to these guys.

  46. Matt Wilson

God dammit I love this band. Seeing them for the first time 5 days from now.

  47. Schoarma Bestelbus

people who trash about this album probably don't even understand Downfall.

  48. Oliver Stephen

Both the old and new stuff from architects is phenomenal. One of the most exciting British artists.
All their albums are good. my favourite being lost together.

  49. Puntosak1

  54. Ramon Gonzalez

why cant people just enjoy the music and stop being so negative

  55. TwentyOneSykes

My fave song by architects. So much better to their new album tbh.

I can't wait to see them open for BMTH tonight!

  56. Er Navneet

    Wow... 😎

  57. kostas Hitchens

the sure thing is that architects was a different band back then .less heavy less breakdowns worst production etc
they wasnt bad but after daybreaker and mostly with lost forever became a huge band in every aspect.they went in a completely different level.thats why i think their last two albums are the best by far

    Ez Vintage™ l DN Vintage™

I got into Architects from listening to 'All Our God's Have Abandoned Us' but, I started listening to their previous album's recently. I got to admit that from 'Daybreaker' the route they chose was fantastic but i'm still in for supporting their previous albums which got them the experience & produce what they do now. Fantastic band overall, I can easily see this band being my favourite.

  58. Leila Magg

    R.I.P Tom :c

  59. Thomas Parsons

    Rip Tom.

  60. Cxy Wxrt

  64. Angela Corstorphine

    devastated! RIP Tom xxx

  65. Tamara Alcantud

    RIP Tom :(

  66. MrSkyhippowdon

I guess im the only one that really likes this album and daybreaker

    forcedentry2010

This album was fine. It wasn't their best work in my opinion. I absolutely loved Daybreaker. Daybreaker was the album that actually got me heavily into Architects. I learned to appreciate their earlier works that I hadn't previously really listened to after that. Anything after Daybreaker was absolutely stellar.

    sirgallahad4

    You are not.

    forcedentry2010

Negative, sir. This album may not be my favorite but Daybreaker is the album that truly got me to listen to all of Architects. I've loved everything since then.

    Maximiliano Adrian Correa

no man you are not the only one ;)

    midairman

No man! Everything from hollow crown and the here and now for me is golden. Earlier albums were okay but nothing stuck for me.

  67. Darmos

Lol @ the people that crush THAN when theyve only listened to this and Day in Day Out

  68. Christopher Sanchez

hoping they play this song when they come

  69. K0TTNM0UTHQUEEN

    How can he see anything...

  70. Joshua Mccarter

I don't know why but when they released the album I didn't enjoy it much. but now I can listen to it all day and has to be my favorite albums by them at the moment.

  71. Gino Cuatoni

Esta re piola locoo! Me re cebaaa!! Los amooo.

  73. Luis Vargas Riffo

    Hillsong xDD

  74. Kaleid0sc0p3

digging the music, digging the vocals.

  75. Sam Freedman

The man at 2:31 is a fucking top don. I tell you that.

  76. Chris White

I admire Architects' honesty about The Here and Now. It was a mistake, in that they were very good at writing their dark, technical stuff, particularly on Ruin and Hollow Crown, and they were just average-above average as a post hardcore band. Daybreaker was a step in the right direction and they showed flashes of their magic in songs like These Colours Don't Run and Outsider Heart but they were still refinding their feet as a band, and with the mature, stripped back, but still heavy and unique, Lost Forever Lost Together it feels like they're finally back in their stride as artists.

Ruin will always be my favourite album by them though.

    Mik

+Chris White If you consider The Here and Now a "mistake", you are not respecting them. They can admit this might not be their best album, which may be the reason they ended up changing their style again after this album, but when you are an artist, you can't regret nor reject your own work. The actual style of Architects, which is similar to the previous one of this album, is the confort style of them right now, as the evolution has been positive the last years, but it's been more static. The Here and Now represent for me a clear courage step out of the confort zone that many artists can't and don't want to take, and end up being wasted musically. And honestly, for me this album is a top one. After years of listening it and I still think it's pretty unique.

    Chris White

+Mik How can an artist have standards if they don't regret/reject anything they produce? It's important, not just in art but in life, to be able to look at a bad decision you've made and say "OK that wasn't the right thing to do, but I'm gonna learn from it and improve for the future.", which I think Architects have done since The Here and Now came out.

    Mik

+Chris White Yes, but for doing that, you have to accept and respect your decisions in the past, because you made them for a reason, there was a logic behind that, no matter if it was the right or not. They loved the record the day they recorded and composed it and that is what matters the most.

Also, I think they got influenced by the criticism around this record of old fans and maybe the media. Which is good, I mean, you have to know the opinion of the people, but one thing is move forward towards another style, and another thing is saying this was like a car crash. How can people respect and love your creation if even you can't do it yourself? Idk, that's how I see it.

    Mehbobo Torp

Their post hardcore stuff is still decent, but it's in no way comparable to the sheer brilliance and beauty in "Lost Forever//Lost Together" and "All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us".

That said- They hit, in my opinion, perfection with "These Colours Don't Run". In no stretch of the imagination, that song is one of the greatest and perhaps important metal songs of the new generation.

  77. Atahan A.

Lol at all those people who found out about Architects' existence through their latest album and came here to shit on their previous ones.

    Sermilion Audio

I think Daybreaker is kinda weird album. I don't really get it. Everything else is amazing. But I still like that album though.

    Sermilion Audio

I would agree. The worst from them. But I would not say it is bad. I like all their albums. And it is so cool to go back and listen to Nightmares and then to listen to AOGHAU.

    mpk 666

I'm sorry, but this is easily the best album out of them all.

    Aries The Ram

At least it's not old fans shitting on their newer stuff

    *Cough* BMTH

    Morse Code Stutters

They tried something more commercial and it kicked ass then went back to their usual sound and still kick ass, I don't see any reason to shit on them

  78. Mehbobo Torp

Architects themselves rip on "The Here and Now" all the time. They publicly and openly admit it was a really bad time in their musical careers. A lot of excess drinking and unfortunately neglecting the music.
Personally, there are a few songs on the album that I thought were really chill. But overall, I MUCH better enjoy their last two albums. Both were really really solid and I'm looking forward to hearing what they still have left in 'em.

    Louis Gibbins

+Mehbobo Torp apparently they started demo-ing a few months back! love all their albums so much...

    Daniel Simpson

+Mehbobo Torp this is not a bad album! if anything this album did not make much sense considering how heavy and solid hollow crown was. I think daybreaker would have been the ideal follow up. I think this album is one that maybe should have come later on.

    TheExisting 1

+Mehbobo Torp are you sure its drinking? a couple of the songs on this album are about sam getting over his addictions

    Mehbobo Torp

+TheExisting 1 It may have been substance consumption as well, I'm just speaking based on what I heard the band say in interviews. They mentioned excess drinking and partying, but I wouldn't be surprised if that also includes substance abuse...

    TheExisting 1

@Mehbobo Torp oh for sure! all the things i've read about it was that sam was addicted to weed. i'm pretty sure the red is about that.

  79. serg martin

    под кислотой самое оно

  80. Cesar Tresca Drum Covers

Its weird because I really enjoyed this album, I feel that this is the release that prevented them from sticking to the same genre and dying. Even if the band itself trash this record, I love it, like I love every other release !

They keep impressing me every step they make

  81. David Rocha

Their previous work are way better... miss old stuff

  82. Axel Juravle

    FUCKIN' SUCKERS!!!!!!!!

    陳俊佑

    幹你娘機巴吃我屌

  83. MAGisterio Arcade

  84. LIL COREY

Does anyone know what kind of fender telecaster that is?

    Egan Quigley

    LIL COREY

  85. Tany Figueroa

We are the ones you left out in the rain, come back tomorrow and we'll be here again!
    Great song, really.

  86. Josh Leuzinger

This is really really good, how have I not heard of these guys before?

  87. ChatmakGames

I actually think 'The Here And Now' was a great album. Sure it wasn't as heavy or technical as the other ones but it's still really good music and at the end of the day that's more important than what genre it's defined as. I did think that the slow ballads like An Open Letter and Heartburn were a step too far though, I mean they're just not that kind of band.

  88. Dejavu Sans Mono

wow haven't looked at architects since nightmares, and they're fucking terrible now. At least I've still got my nightmares cd

    Matt Fry

Check out Lost Forever Lost Together

    Night Rage

This isn't very recent, check out the newest album

    hussguy1990

don't check out lost forever man, really generic sound lots of breakdowns the standard melody you come too.expect from metalcore it's a.decent album but if you coming from.nightmares it's a pile, ruin and hollow crown are killer though

    Scott Anthony

hussguy1990 you’re to edgy and intelligent for Metalcore mate. I hope you found some complex music to keep you happy.

  89. AFCA

I just found this song by random clicking videos, god bless me.

    PULS2E1

AFCA you forget my son...all our gods have abondoned us

  90. Alyse H

i love his clean voice <3

    Joshua Curiale

One of the best clean singers in all of metal, IMO

  91. Sam Jardine

Don't know what the hate is on this track/album, its really good. Catchy riffs/vocals. It doesnt have to be super heavy all the time...

  92. Lacora Clayton

Wow, their new stuff is way better

    Malcolm Cheng

their new stuff sounds more mature doesn't it?

    Lacora Clayton

Exactly, plus I feel more into it with their new stuff

    hussguy1990

+Lacora Clayton there older stuff Is even better;)

  93. rockerdx

    Eaaa....

  94. Jacob Rampage

If you can't tell that this is the same band that does "Broken Cross" and "These Colours Don't Run"  just by hearing them, then idk how you can say you are listening to music.

  95. Darry rs

damnit i thought this would be the metalcore band oh well they're good but the guys who sing naysayer are so much better D:

    Patricia Santillana

    its the same band -.-

    Darry rs

i realised that about 5 minutes after i posted it geez no need to be like that lol

    Danny Rivera
