Architects - Early Grave Lyrics
I've been out for so long, the days slipped by again
And I can't sleep since I stopped caring [x2]
I'll stay out until my lungs bleed
And I can't tell daylight from streetlights any-fucking-more
As he cast his shadow
I've seen this road a thousand times and I can't look back
And I've seen this road a thousand times and I can't, I'm not looking back
This is so unfamiliar; death is no man's friend
And I'll stay here until I hear him roar
Death is screaming my name yet
I refuse to listen to him [x2]
I refuse, I refuse, I refuse
To listen
I'll stay out until my lungs bleed
And I can't tell daylight from streetlights any-fucking-more
As he cast his shadow
I've seen this road a thousand times and I can't look back
And I've seen this road a thousand times and I can't, I'm not looking back
I can't sit here forever
Watch me rise again
Watch me rise back up
Forever would just be so easy to fall into [x2]
Yet I'll stay out until my lungs bleed
Forever is the easy option but I won't take it
I won't take it, no
The choices I've made will lead me to an early fucking grave
Death is screaming,
Death is screaming,
Death is screaming, my fucking name

Not only does the song fuckin slap, the rest of the album is so goddamn good
always come back here for a listen every now and then
Tom knew his faith all along. This is one of my favourite songs of all time. After 6 years I can't stop hearing this. The part where Sam sings clean and the tapping section is just gold
Sam Carter and his powerful voice.
Respect 💯🤙
This song never made sense.... Until I became a welder.
Architects is the djent version of Every Time I Die
Gives me chills everytime
Meshuggah+The Dillinger Escape Plan = Hollow Crown
2:49 ohhhhh
not bad )
Man it's amazing to see how successful and well known they've become. But this is still their best album in my opinion!
same thoughts! its my favorite record too. love that odd time signatures, hardcore punk/metalcore drumming and dirty riffs
What's up Slenderman?
The best album.
Damn, these vegan chicks go hard
One of my favourites songs ever
Kinda reminds of dillinger escape plan for some reason
240p we meet again
😂🤣
Guys is there a HQ version of this one out there? :( pls
Still listening to this in 2019
One of the heaviest metal tracks, no doubt, so much energy... insane part @ 2:50... never heard anything like it
Why the 240p? wth??? :(
Speedlick it was 2008
@mightyerick Fucking hell. Can you imagine. It has been 10 years.
The only album out of all of their’s that I disliked was The Here and Now
240 p ?????? :( :( :( :( wtf ?
звучит как Оли Сайкс
This is truly peak Architects great song.
голос похож на Сайкса
Британцы хули
I'd rate 7/8 needs more irregular time signatures
Amazing song in 2018!
Everything is good in the world when 'Architects' and 'Every Time I Die' are boiz.
Those drums, that guitar, that fucking rhythm... Big up the Searle brothers ❤️
I like interesting music
this is.... interesting'er music
I first heard this on *cough* myspace (im an old cunt)
One of the few bands that actually progressed and matured into a better band. Most bands lose themselves with time, architects are just getting better!
Well... Can't fully agreed. They become something different from early years - but not "progressed and matured into better". Just different.
@Vlad Romanenko still, their songs are still heavy af and they are still a metalcore band. Look at the amity affliction or bring me the horizon, they went so poppy. the transition from mathcore to metalcore is normal after almost 12 years
It´s amazing how well this album is ageing, comparing to other metalcore bands of the late 2000s. The unique talent behind Architects is undeniable.
One of my favorite!! So much angst, good screams and riffs.
I really like how Sam sings now vs then. So much more unique.
Architects is the only band I know that evolved their sound far beyond anyone's expectations.
DraculaXHunter101 BMTH🤔
Sounds like old Norma Jean
This is in my opinion the best architects song ever made so far.
this is still my favourite song of theirs
this is so good! best workout music ever!
Got to love the slender movie trailer
One of the best hardcore songs in history. Nevermind who wrote what. 10 years almost now and still my favorite song. Fuck.
Slenderman's song... 😕
<3 . spread it.
I imagine its torture for the band to go on the comments for anything they have posted to see 'RIP TOM'.
Yes its terrible its happened and no one wanted it this way but the band has openly said to not mention it to them as it still affects them deeply. I can honestly see it being the one thing that causes them to stop touring and creating music, please be considerate.
Please stop.
My second favorite song by Architects. This is just pure emotion. R.I.P Tom <3
Remembering old times! :')
wow did he really just assume death was a he? he should've really asked it before assuming its gender...
I don't say this just because of Tom's death, but, in my miserable opinion, one of the best contemporary metal player. Hollow Crown speaks volume. Also, I'm very sad for...well, you know...
2:10 Tom please no, don't do this to me... Your riff ... RIP dude
Not-so-slender man
Du hast mask hahaha
1:13 what every celebrity is thinking throughout 2016!!
I wish they stuck with sound. While I dig the work afterwards, this stuff is insanely heavy.
This song doesn't just remind me of Tom bit it also reminds me of Paul Walker and Ryan Dunn :( all died way too early
про что песня?
These guys are sick as fuck! They sound very similar to Structures, or visa versa. lol \m/
John Holland Fun fact. Structures actually got their name from their love for architects. Their idea was "Architects build structures", hence why they have a similar sound becuase of their influence on the band :)
Jack Lamyman it's the same with northlane, obviously they don't sound like architects but they got their name from the architects song on 'ruin'
fucking good
okay this title got a whole new meaning since yesterday...
Well the title of this song unfortunately has a new context given Tom's passing :( R.I.P. Tom Searle
is there an information who wrote the lyrics for that particular song?
Rest in peace, Tom. Holy shit..
rip tom, you will be missed!
Mi tema favorito, de mi disco favorito de Architects.. una pena la muerte de Tom :c que descanse en paz!
Quién murió,el cantante???
@Leo nieva 1986 el guitarrista
Hollow Crown still one of my most favorite albums ever! RIP Tom!
Rest In Peace
RIP Tom, wrote one of the heaviest songs ever :(
+Benji “Jāngyzøn” Becker not in it for an argument. but on the here and now. I know that the track "open letter to myself" was written by sam.. like I said. it'd be pointless to argue. but I thought I'd just chime in with that. Also I've heard tom mention, that during recording on all of their albums. certain riffs that he had written on his laptop weren't fitting. and in those times and others. dan and ali changed bits and pieces.. the rest of the band ofcourse all say that he wrote everything
@Music2mosh2 interessting..
What happen to him bro?
@Scott Graham he passed away, died from cancer, RIP
Es increíble como esta banda se transformó en una de mis favoritas en tan poco tiempo, pero sus letras y canciones te hacen adictivo
la mejor banda en su género,RIP Tom Searle :'(
King Kong, more like King Core
well I intended to drink shampoo to kill myself but it seems a bit early for me to die
Donde están locos? vamos wacho, los fan de argentina vieja reportense (*.*)/
Reportandose, man
The good ole days...
I like how this song is so similar to Jane Doe from Converge, one of my favourite Metalcore albums.
Similar to Jane Doe how?
The guitar tone. The small progressive directions through the songs especially on their first 3 albums.
seing them live for the 3rd time feb 4 in Milan. cant wait, i love them
+iuiusc ci vedremo la ;)
I CANT SAY A GREAT GREAT GREAT BAND BUT I GONNA THAT THEY FANS HEAR TRIVIUM THE BASSIST IS THE LIMIT OF METALCORE BANDS
is a fucking hardcore band but i ganna be the bassist i can be more better that him i can touch all best music with only fingers like this music EARLY GRAVE
His screaming sounds like Oli's from BMTH.
comparisons between bmth and these guys can be easily made
there very similar
@***** unfortunately.
They're close friends.
Nikkie he taught oli how to scream
Video meaning:
A guy becomes slender man.
(He's in a forest wearing a suit and everything!!!!)
Fuck you
+OMGIDestroyedMatter He looks nothing like Slenderman and this has nothing to do with him.
@kristennification How do you even know that its not him for sure? Lets just have some fun and speculate alright? I was partially joking.
Thanks BMTH for featuring Sam Carter in The Sadness Will Never End. This band is amazing!
wow... all these years I had no idea that was him xD
+4killerCurtis I would always think "who the fuck is singing", haha
@4killerCurtis haha
honestly man thank you bmth
yeah! i heard of Architects for the first time in 2014 by Sam Carter's featuring in The Sadness Will Never End.
I remember seeing this with good bring me the horizon. in vegas. circa 2009. holler if you fucking hear me.
Both bands got arguably better
JCFlyingV98 bmth blows now. but architects is a lot more dope these days.
o_o Metalcore existed in 2008? Huh, didn't know that. I was listening to pop-punk, heavier alternative stuff, and industrial metal back then... I didn't even know metalcore existed until one of my friends showed me Crown the Empire in 2012...
what is brostep lol
Brostep is basically what most people think of as dubstep, theyre actually two very different things, most of Skrillexs songs for example are mostly brostep but his newer stuff is more like dubstep.
Never listened to killswitch engage, as I lay dying or bullet for my valentine back then? They were the big metalcore bands back then
Never listened to killswitch engage, as I lay dying or bullet for my valentine back then? They were the big metalcore bands around that time
So, Poison The Well? Thrice? Mastodon? Messugah? Nope?! Nevermind mate
Fuck this takes me back... these guys, A Textbook Tragedy, War From A Harlots Mouth, The Arusha Accord, Shaped by Fate.... this genre used to be so good
OK..I loved this bands since their 1st album and Matt Johnson owned Sam Carter all the way
+Mohd Fazwan Rashid ehhh wrong
