Christian Huxtable what happened, after Annie Mac played it, the internet went mental, then there were articles in the papers, then nothing. No plays on the radio. Just silence. Expected it to be the biggest summer anthem 🤷🏽‍♂️

the 1st annie mac version was a true sample of sound of the crowd,now its modern synth made to sound like sound of the crowd,i'm guessing the human league wanted royalty's hence the long delay in the song being released

This is a genuine digital sample of the original recording of Sound Of The Crowd. It hasn't been reworked using any 'modern synth' (sic), as you suggest. The Human League approved the usage upfront, and are therefore not responsible for any delay. :)

@Ian Burden now as far as putting things right it probably doesn't get much better than the bloke who wrote the song/tune.
i'll happily take back my guess that it was down to the human league delaying the song because of royalty's oh and apologize
