Amazing cover of the original version of the "Enjoy the silence" by Martin Gore.
Originally the song was made on an organ (if I remember correctly) and it was only his voice. It was supposed to stay like that and he fought hard to keep it in his way but Alan Wilder and the producer of the album (Violator) - Flood decided to make it into a pop song. And this is how we ended up with the version that we all know. In my opinion, AW and Flood did an amazing job but if someone prefers more pure and deep emotion they should check out and the original version.

Ok, first of all, Depeche Mode's original was pretty damn awesome already. 

Never, and I mean never, in a million years would I think a cover of it would actually blow it out of the water.  In this case it has.

Sorry if that sounds blasphemous but it's true.  And I'm not even a fan of Amos.

Well, your opinion is your opinion, but in my very own personal opinion, I think you are wrong! 

I think this one sounds darker than Depeche Mode's original, and this song makes more sense in a dark rendition.

Yes, I agree, it sounds darker... it's added value, that qualifies this as a good cover. So my opinion:  it's great cover, but I still prefer the original version by awesome Depeche Mode.
