Amos, Tori - After All Lyrics

Listened to this a lot after 9/11, when it came out. "So hold on to nothing" - seemed appropriate.

I’m a huge Bowie fan, but Tori’s cover gives me goosebumps! I wish it was easier to find (it doesn’t seem to be on iTunes or Spotify last time i checked).

A smart cover. Not one his well known songs and it suits her style.

I would listen to Tori cover Bowie songs all day. She makes everything so beautiful.

the last 'after all' kills me 

This is really cool. very chilled. Very hard to do and keep a certain magic. She does it.

I love this song and I think she does a fabulous job... I do prefer Bowie singing it, but that's my personal opinion. I love it though. It's hard to do a cover and still get the emotion across because it's well.. not your song. But she did amazing. :)

Yup. I guess he did, alright.
But I can tell you I mind those remarks a lot less than the idea of distorting an honest opinion because some fans might disaprove. And since I'm not in the habit of attacking artists with below-the-belt remarks (like some artists love doing and getting away with), I really don't get what's the big deal.

I love this arrangement. I love Bowie, but his version doesn't seem to hold the emotion that hers does.

Tori did an exceedingly good interpretation, the sonorous quality of her voice is especially tantalizing. She evokes an ancient high priestess informing all. After All.
