Funny thing my fav genre of metal is Death Metal. You would think Id prefer the really early Amorphis but this is my fav album by them. Pushed properly they could have been huge and still could be in /north America if a bigger Rock or metal band took them on tour. Ive played this album for people not into metal and they like it a lot.

This is my favourite Amorphis song. I am not a big fan of current era although I think Tomi J. is the best Amorphis vocalist ever. Still... the best music was made when Tomi K. and Pasi were doing vocals. Pasi's voice fits perfectly to this era of Amorphis. It is a shame when everything went as it went.

It's about an old pauper that goes to war for his king in winter and gets killed and is waiting to work the fields of tuonela (or hell if you wish to call it that)... no good a sullen soul no use a simple knave, no groom for brides of plaited hair this man old man lame... should say enough
