I hear this beautiful but sad music and my mind goes to images of the the Imperial War Graves French and German cemeteries of the Great War.

Exquisitely executed. Transformative. Altho the vibrato is not in the English tradition, I am spellbound by this.

Surely lovely voices/ensemble. No disrespect to their talent. Not at all fond of their rendition of Lux Aeterna. Too much vibrato, which is not in keeping with the English singing tradition, and the recording sounds generally quite muddy; neither the voices nor the instrumentals come across well. Both of these specific issues clash badly with the chromaticism of the composition. Having a hard time even finishing listening to it.

I understand. They are considered a "popera" band. Yet, I do really enjoy this … perhaps a little guiltily!
