LOOK. Here's some information about American Authors from somebody who knows them. I'm a friend of one of the members. American Authors is based off of Imagine Dragons, they like their music a lot and want to be like them.

Imagine Dragons is the grunge/emo/dark version of these guys. (okay don't kill me I'm a massive fan of Imagine Dragons)
