It's not like they went hip hop- its just a good pop album with a production redolent of the times.  I always enjoyed 'Perspective'.

Also the song could’ve been longer I feel like when I really start getting into it it stops
Like repeating the chorus near the end instead of one chorus and creepy outro

Wilcey i'm with you ! I don't know who was promoting "Americas" music during the 80's I have been a huge Music fan all my life and for some reason America just wasn't being played on the radio. They have save awesome 80's songs besides You Can Do Magic. Loved that song ! Starting with The Alibi Album (Survival) was a great tune. Catch that Train, You Could've Been the One, Hangover, Right Back to Me. I just don't get it !

When this album came out, the "hit" song was supposed to be "Special Girl" but it never came to pass. I got that info from their managers "Katz Gallin Morey" in Los Angeles.

America - Perspective is lovely album.
