Ambrosia - Endings Lyrics
The season of life is here
And the reason to live is clear
We've waited 'till who knows when
For the time to begin again
It's more than the change of time
That no matter where or when
For endings are only
Places where all things begin
And the end is near
Of things we have grown to fear
We worry and reason why
With the times that change our lives
But more than the changing time
Of where it should be or when
For endings are always
Places where all things begin
Oh, look at the sun
On every stage, in everyone
Ah, stand in the light
As we get on, we will put up a fight
(places where) all things begin...

Life, loss, love ,understanding whom were & when we understand our lost love of ones.
Crazy, my first hearing this beautiful song, listen to them over & over...
I have always said , This is one of the few BEST SONGS IN MY LIFE TIME ....
And that harmony is so angelic !
The strong drums !
The guitar solo !
Your flying straight to heaven with this song !
Burleigh Drummond accepted my invitation to connect on LinkedIn a few months ago. Not a big deal, but I was thrilled. One of my favorite bands growing up. Road Island is just a brilliant album. Highly underrated band.
Love this song and david pack he reminds me of a love i had in 1974
The vocal arrangements at the end of this song are just gorgeous. Ambrosia were one of a small handful of bands who as strong vocally as they were instrumentally.
You don't hear vocal arrangements like this anymore, it's a lost art. There was no auto tune in Ambrosia's days
Agree. Yes would be in that hand full
Beautiful song! Love this band, love David
Was privileged to have bought the band a round of drinks after a Sacramento concert the first night of their return tour in December '00. What a bunch of great guys!
Beautiful!!! What a great song and one of the best Ambrosia albums....
It's a tad odd to see the art of Gerald Scarfe of Pink Floyd: The Wall fame on an Ambrosia LP. Great song, though.
Try Ralph Steadman
Who said this is an ugly album cover......They were so lucky to get 6he guy that did Pink Floyd's art work...the music and the art fit the time perfectly.....
+180catfish Steadman didn't do that work. You're thinking of Gerald Scarfe.
+Filthy McNasty This art is indeed Gerald Scarfe.
Not the art on the Road Island LP.
Just pulled out my LP and it has Ralph Steadman's signature on the front cover.
I was a senior in hs in 82. I was a huge fan of theirs. How could I not have heard this? Did it not get any air play on radio or MTV back then? Thanks for posting. Kathy
How a rather ugly CD cover can hide pearls of songs like "Fool like me" or this melancholic "Endings"... To misquote Marilyn Monroe, don't judge a CD by it's cover...
So beautiful and soulful! Makes me cry!
To Tammy....Check this song out!
Superbe morceau, mais l'album dans son entier est génial !!
bientôt une édition remasterisée
Awesome music
Love the piano in the middle. The guitar that follows is so beautiful.
Love this song so much. it sometimes plays of in my head automatically. Love the band so much my daughters second name is Ambrosia.
So cool
I'm in love.
this is just amazing.
What a freaking awesome band. Why does it seem that only a few appreciate the truly talented? Musicians see what it takes to make GOOD music. Don’t get me wrong, there are those who do not play that “get it”. Thanks for the share it really takes me back.
A long-forgotten album that really deserves to be heard time and again: the last studio recording of the band, that disbanded after only 5 releases that are masterworks in their own right. Regrettable is the fact of this unfair way their music is not spread all over the world.
A master piece - wish more music like this is played on the radio
Plse, who wrote and arranged this most incredibility beautiful song?
David Pack and the great Pink Floyd producer James Guthrie, great guitar solo!
rox barnett David
