Ist demo of diamond lie, Columbia wanted name change.Layne recycled old name and 'n switched to in. Its great to here the fuck the band demos, I havent heard one yet at the right speed. Believe me jerry played and analysed it almost 24 hours a day. Those days were a lot of fun.

got that wrong, layne wrote more than half the lyrics in their music and he created the vocals to about 95% of the songs. thats why alice in chains is still good now that they replaced layne, but they're not nearly as good as they were with layne around.

nashnwo1234 If you look it up and actually do the math, Jerry wrote almost exactly 75% of the songs’ lyrics. Layne was amazing and talented and he’s sorely missed, but Alice In Chains is, was, and will always be Jerry.

Jerry wrote most of the lyrics and music anyway. Layne is far better but it's still Alice in chains ad long as Sean and Jerry are in it

it wasnt layne in chains. if you only liked layne then you werent a fan. it definitely isnt the same but it sure as hell kicks ass. theyve stayed more true to thier sounds with a dead singer than pearl jam or sound garden did WITH their singer. plus jerry wrote all but three of the songs and ittle over half the lyrics. he should keep the name if he wants to. layne killed HIMSELF wasting all his talent. the other guys shouldnt have to suffer. besides layne wasnt a dickface hed understand

To you and that's cool. For me no two soul rockers have ever had that kind of harmony, and that is what makes those two voices + Kinney and Starr true AIC for me.
Again I would see em' without hesitation if I could but could not call it Alice in Chains.
