This song isn’t even about gen 1. Not really. It is, I think, a meditation on nostalgia that will only get better as it gets older. Never have I heard a song that so effectively captured the feeling of nostalgia.

So much hate...dude. Stop. I remember watching this one time as a kid and I remembered some lyrics. Took me 8 years to find the song again. This may the gen wunner anthem, but hey....I remember stumbling upon this as a 9, almost 10 year old, and loving it. Why when I like gen 4 the best? Because it was catchy to me, and now it's just filled with nostalgia.

From a technical standpoint, Pokemon hasn't budged an inch in over 20 years, the only people to change are the fans who grew up and out of their nostalgic phases

As a pokemon fan from the start (Red and Blue) it's sad to see what pokemon has become these days, I feel ever since gen 3 that the pokemon look stupider and stupider as Nintendo run out of ideas for them and the new mega pokemon just make my want to cry at what they're doing to the series. This song has got it spot on about the ridiculous amount of legendaries that are in the game and also how are you meant to catch over 600 or however many pokemon there are now? It was hard enough when it was just 150

I must of spent several hundred hours holding down B thinking it made me faster..., I spend so much time making Youtubevideos,it's hard to show effort in videos when you haven't put any money into recording software meaning I can only record 30 seconds without sound.

I love the song, i know the original PokeRap, I (accidentally (ok i was 3) deleted my brother's perfect Yellow and swore I would fix that. I did it after 14 years, I like the new games but some "Pokemon Fans" need to see how great the originals where or how battling a friend ment you went and bought a link cable and battled them and none of the wifi crap.

I'm just saying pokemon was barely my childhood, I did collect a shit load of cards and watch the show.
I'm 13 and I've only have my gameboy and gameboy advance for almost a year now, so I know I was never able to appreciate the games to the fullest when they came out and I've had a nintendo way before that. I've played all the games, and all the starters start to suck after 3rd generation, the new pokemon have no originality, they''re all dogs or cats or bags of fucking garbage.

I've just yesterday finished doing a massive spring clean of everyone's junk, and in one f my brother's old draws of randon game guides and old school text books, I found his old GameBoy. The game inside? Pokemon Blue. But no power left. Imagine my joy when later at the bottom of a box of discarded assorted cables I find a charger that fits it. Last night was so much fun.

Catching a Pokemon. It was a very widespread rumor that holding the B button down as soon as the poke-ball sucks in a Pokemon, or when you used an attack, it would catch the Pokemon, or do more damage, respectively. Turned into superstition, really.

I still hold down the B button to this day. I know in my head that it wont do anything, but God damnit my heart doesn't!

I actually enjoyed pokemon up to diamond and pearl. This guy saying the G/S generation wasn't good is obviously retarded. If you don't like the new pokemon, then you are to old for pokemon. The only thing I can say bad about the new gen is that they are running out of ideas.

Ohhh, you guys...Black and White isn't bad. It was really good! I honestly like the older games better and I DO tear up when I hear the route 2 theme, or route 38, or the wild Pokemon battle theme for Kanto and Johto, and the Team Rocket Hideout...And I miss the challenge, and the...Wait, where was I?

Red and Blue were fun and challenging at the right times. Yellow was cool, but WAY too easy Crystal is my favourite. love SS and HG but the gens 3, 4 and 5 feel separate from the others. to me, 5 is the abomination. They were actually attempting to re-create the first game for their older players. ASDFGHJKL They ended up shoving shitty little kiddy stuff in there instead (come on, Ash just wants to be friends with every pokemon?)also, Meowth is now hanging out with ash?!? ANDDDD BROCK IS GONE!?!
