And the fact that this core progression is one of the oldest most worn out chord progressions of all times it's the same one that the doo-wop band used C A minor f g but Alan Parson put such a spin on it that it's just absolutely beautiful one of my favorite of all time.
It's a masterpiece!

From what I've noticed, it seems throughout his career that A. Parsons purposely avoided the spotlight. I believe MTV awarded "Eye in the Sky" as best video of the year. But only because it's MTV and they can do whatever they want, otherwise it wouldn't have surprised me if Parson's had turned down the nomination!

I ended a relationship with this song. No matter how much I warned of the division between us, and that persons continued apathy, I couldn’t put my feelings into words, so I made a point of playing this song. It said it all.

Update to my comments- Last month both my brother and I took a three week trip to Alaska. We both related our feelings about this song, and agreed it's good advice for everyone. He's doing Okay with retirement even though it was touch and go at age 70. For me, I finally let go of my past and am looking forward to my Girlfriend getting home from deployment to Kuwait in September. Her and I will make the trip to Alaska next year!!

I learned the lesson of this song too late. I was working 14+ hours a day trying against time to retire with my Wife. She died before I could do that. I grieve daily not being able to fulfill my dream. Even with a new girlfriend 35 years my junior, I'll still never achieve the dreams I had.
