An "electrical problem" is an issue with the 12V system. A bad distributor is an ignition problem.

Ricky Ric.....If you are not aware of auto shop ripoffs, you must not own a car! I had to call the cops on a mechanic that actually took a knife out of his pocket and tried to cut the fan belt. Fortunatly, I saw him through the space under the open hood and stopped him, but only after he had started cutting. I went inside and confronted his boss, called the police had him arrested and fired from his job. The shop had to replace my serpentine belt at a cost of $430.00. If I had not seen him do this, it would have broken while driving and I would have to pay the repair and the cost of a tow. There are good, honest mechanics out there, but there are some real pieces of shit out th here too! Only takes a few to give them all a bad reputation. So open your eyes Ricky, the scamming mechanics are everywhere! P.S., never use a mechanic that uses Biblical business names, or uses Bible quotes in thier slogans! I am a Christian, but in my experience, businesses that use Bible names and quotes are the worst when it comes to ripping people off!

@John chapman you can still run your car without a serpentine belt, the car will start to over heat and you stop and let it cool down, you don't have to have a tow truck. And a belt cost 20$ as oriellys and all you need is the tool they loan you😂😂
