A long time ago, my marriage was falling to bits. I had a dear friend who was simply 'being there'. This album was out and I taped it for my car. I played the surface of the tape, and somehow, after my divorce came through, I lost the album. And here it is again. I'm so happy. Not that I am once again transported to those days, but that the songs are still as good and powerful as I remember. Al Jarreau, you are a god.

+dave piano I know exactly how you feel about this man and his music. I have been following him for close to 35 years. Al Jarreau has been a constant in my life...I can always count on him to carry me through too.

I don't know all of the songs in Al Jarreau's catalog of songs, and finding this song, I have just found a song of his that I've never heard. But, this song is gorgeous! Al Jarreau had a penchant for making some of the loveliest ballads and mid tempo love songs:)
