I absolutely adore Clay Aiken and Bon Jovi.

This is the 2nd song on this channel that just seems off to me and I figured out what it is.
I know that Clay is naturally a high tenor but he has got to bring it down at least a couple of steps for these kinds of songs

technically this is not a cover. Jon did write this song but he never released it on a Bon Jovi album. there is another song called "Open All Night" that was on the Bounce album and another on the boxed set called "these arms are open all night". Let's not forget "In These Arms" from the Keep the Faith album. all different songs but similar titles. Jon said once this song title kept running through his mind so he kept writing it until he "got it right" which was the Bounce release. 😄

I like Bon Jovi's version because it's his song and all that. But I love Clay's voice more so this version has to be my favourite and I love the look he gives the camera as he stops singing at the end... <3

Jon Bon Jovi is known to have terrible judgment on which songs to release as singles and include on albums. "Livin' on a Prayer" only made the final cut of Slippery When Wet because Richie saw its potential.
