I like how - intentionally or not -- the songs starts out sounding a bit like the acoustic Layla that was a big deal in 1992 or 3...But this song turns into quite quickly into a woman's sort of lament, as if "Layla" lay it on the table from her pov. Man, Gentlemen is a sure timelessly relevant power album

Isn't it AMAZING how relevant and PERFECT this song(album) is after almost 25 years later? Just gorgeously perfect still.

Her voice served as the female character involved with Dulli's Gentleman. The album is about a disintegrating relationship between two lovers. Think of the album as the male version of Liz Phair's Exile In Guyville."
