Great underrated Aerosmith song and not well-known enough. Needs to get some airplay along with all of the other album cuts, rather than just the hits.

If you listen this song good you'll figure this is by all parameters "Alice Cooper" song and not typical Aerosmith song. Producers probably didn't want them to "collide" style-wise back then, because they were both huge, and needed clear distinction. That's why this song didn't get attention back then, but it surely is a very good song.

Heard this song shortly after my music tastes switched to rock/metal. It pretty much made me an Aerosmith fan-such an underrated gem of a song

That middle 8 is brilliant

The band seemed to have so much more energy on Permanent Vacation and PUMP than they did in their earlier years. Can't help think it had something to do with them getting clean........

Wished they played these songs live instead of "Crying" and "Amazing" for billionth time

I missed meeting the members of Aerosmith minus Steven Tyler by this much)(. They were walking down the street in Omaha & I saw them. I looked at my ol lady & said "That looks like Aerosmith." Found out later that they were at a record store in the Old Market on the radio. Man I wish I could turn back time I would have tried to get an autograph or two. Dang.

omg! this is so cute... I know what you feel... Maybe I'm younger than you, but I love them with all my hole life since I was 12, and now, I have 10 years being a fan... Personally, this song is very special to me, because I clearly remember the first time I listened it, and when that happened I knew that they would be the band of my life ♡

Oh Yeah, I'm 31 now and I was too young when Permanent Vacation was release, but maybe I have listened some tunes back that time and forgotten, so when I grown up and start to chase all Aerosmith songs, it was like I already know then… good taste you have, darling.

Another one of Aerosmith's greatest songs, but not very well known and very much under rated too. "You never know what you got till they take it away. I'm coming ready or not, gonna get you someday". Such a true and powerful line in life!!

Damn they really missed out by not making this a hit in 1988 when hair metal was huge. It sure is catchy af too.

This is 1 of the best album tracks ever, but the truth is any of the songs besides maybe I'm Down and the other similar song whose name escapes me could have been a number 1 hit. St John, Hearts Done Time etc.

Amazing that Steven was about 40 when this album was released. He was still a pup back then.

I have a good taste in music and a good ear ,i bought this when it first came out, was playing all the time before other people got it, underrated song.

ELgobstopper When I saw them in concert in 1989, this was the second song they played.

I bought it also in 1987.its a great album even though Steven & Joe have said they didn't really like this one.

@MetalHeart8787 Funny how the fans have a different opinion sometimes from what the band does. James Hetfield from Metallica doesn't really like their 90's stuff, while even though I like their first album the best, I REALLY like their 90's stuff, even though it's not really thrashy like their earlier stuff.

I don't like their 90's stuff either. Lightning, Puppets & Justice were their Best. and yes heres 2 more, OZZY Doesn't Like the ultimate sin, and Iron  Maiden (Bruce ) doesn't like somewhere in time.  2 very awesome Albums.

i was streaming, and i saw a vedio that needed full sound on youtube for any1 to haer it. 2 min later i put this song on, the vulium exploades my ears and i check viewers and see it went from almost 2k t about 200. MASSIVE FACEPALM!
