311 - Syntax Error Lyrics

I know I should have stopped it
Any other day I'd know better but
Now I'm laid out on the floor
I know I kinda dropped it
Should have written it down in a letter
But now there's one foot out the door

All the words in disarray
Lost in translation
Errors just replayed

I didn't know it was like that
Left field and way off from center
And now there's just one great divide
There's no doubt, wait, strike that
Off conversation is splintered
Oh well Oh hell at least I tried

All the thoughts I can't relay
Have no explanation
Prefix just displayed

Spell check
Streamline
Clarified
Cut copied pasted
And erased it
But I replaced it
Outline
Researched
Summarized
Paraphrased refrained
And then deleted
Now I'm defeated

Good intention's gone astray
Locked in frustration
Thought lines in decay

so many parts s.a. could fill in some quick rap lines

  20. L.... F....

What a confusing and weird album. This track is almost like a mix of Soundsystem/Universal Pulse/Stereolithic. And they even name drop "Great Divide". How we also got tracks like Till The City's On Fire alongside this awesomeness is staggering.

    L.... F....

Is because feldman (goldfinger) wrote songs like Till The City on Fire , 311 is just playing it. Throw out his 5 songs and you have a solid album.

    L.... F....

Agreed entirely. Just not sure why they brought that guy in and even approved those shitty songs. Especially after the last album.

    L.... F....

Um, or Transistor. Lmao. But yes I see why you felt that way. This Reddit post does a pretty good job of noting the vibe of each section of the new album to the album it sounds like:

    L.... F....

Nah, sounds more like something from Evolver.

  21. C.... B....

    chad banging old skool

  22. C.... B....

    this is it right here

    C.... B....

Reminds me of something you'd hear on ETSD. Like a kick ass B-side the band decided to leave off the album.

  23. D.... H....

Sounds like a futuristic universal pulse hard rock track. I like!

  24. _.... T....

Sounds like it could be off Transistor but with a newer twist. Liking it a lot
